Born and raised in Oregon, I’ve always been a country girl. Matt grew up a country kid too, though he traded horses for dirt bikes while riding the hills of Southern California. We met in 2001, married in 2002, and by 2003 Matt proudly called himself an Oregonian as well.

Westerlook Farm came with its name. We purchased the property from a family who had lovingly called it home for 25 years. The farm is named for its breathtaking westward views—rolling hills stretching toward the coastal mountain range.

Our love affair with the property was immediate, and bringing animals back to Westerlook quickly became a priority. We began by remodeling the guest house and transforming it into a vacation rental, tile-draining the soggy fields, installing sturdy fencing, repairing the barns—and the list has only grown from there.

Our days are bookended by morning and evening chores. We sell raw milk, grass-fed and finished beef, and breeding stock. Our design/build studio sits right in the heart of the farm, housed in the original carriage house. It is a gift to wake up here each morning, work hard until the sun goes down, watch our girls grow up playing in the country as we once did, and share this farm with both our guests and construction clients.

We open up the farm to creative workshops, nightly stays (at our guest house) and the farm is home to our design/build business. It’s a busy place, where we live life at a slower pace. We can’t wait for you to experience our little slice of heaven….right here in Carlton, Oregon.
